The Legacy
Inspiration in Every Stitch
The moment I opened the latches on that little black carrying case, I was hit with the faint scent of machine oil and cedar—and something else that felt a lot like stepping back in time.

Inside was my grandmother’s Singer Featherweight 221. The deep black lacquer was like a mirror, the ornate gold decals were completely intact, and the whole thing looked so pristine you’d think it had rolled off the factory floor yesterday rather than nearly a century ago. She had loved and protected it for decades, keeping it in immaculate condition.

After inheriting it, I was faced with a choice; You don’t leave a machine like that sitting on a shelf just to collect dust as decor—it was built to run. But having the heirloom was only half the equation; knowing how to actually bring it to life came from my mom.

My mother is a renowned seamstress, and growing up, she became the teacher behind everything I know. She sat beside me, patiently guiding my hands as I learned to read thread tension, follow the grain of the fabric, and obsess over the quiet details—like crisp, perfect mitered corners. She taught me that true quality isn't about cutting corners; it’s about patience, respect for natural materials, and taking pride in what you create.

Starting this business grew naturally out of that kitchen-table legacy. I wanted to put my grandmother’s Featherweight back to work, stitching timeless, heirloom-quality flax linens using the very techniques my mother drilled into me.

Every time I thread that vintage needle and hear the steady, quiet hum of the motor, I feel connected to both of the women who shaped me. It’s more than just home textiles for me—it’s three generations of love, care, and craft, sewn right into every piece.
